At one point of my life I thought I'd become an engineer and physicist. Instead, while in a mid-level aerospace engineering course I became more interested in algorithmically optimizing designs instead of using known solutions. This has lead me to apply algorithms to solve unique problems in oil, healthcare, and local government. Besides algorithms, I've dedicated a substantial portion of my career to collecting, cleaning, and managing data. I personally believe algorithms are only as good as their inputs. I'm also passionate about AI governance and during my tenure at the City of Tulsa pushed for a community managed AI commission.
